September Book Study
Pastor Elisabeth is leading a book study of Adam Hamilton’s, Why? Making Sense of God’s Will. This 4-week study includes chapters on “Why Do the Innocent Suffer?”, “Why Do My Prayers Go Unanswered?”, “Why Can’t I See God’s Will For My Life?”, and “Why God’s Love Prevails.” There is a student book and a DVD which will guide our discussion.
There are extra books. It’s not too late to join!
The class meets at Lake Sunapee UMC on Thursdays at 7:00pm and at Grantham UMC on Mondays at 7:00pm . You may participate in either group, whichever one is more convenient for you.
This study is open to the communities, so if you know someone you think might benefit from it, please invite them! Everyone is welcome!
A Bible study and discussion group meets in the church Sunday School room each Thursday at 1:30 pm. We are currently discussing the book, The Story: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People, by Randy Frazee and Max Lucado, and studying the kings of Israel and Judah. All are welcome!
The Sunday School year began on September 8, 2019. Children attend the opening part of the church worship service at 10:30 am with their families, and have a “children’s time” with the pastor. Then they go to class with their teacher for lessons, songs, activities, projects, etc. The Sunday School program is one class for all ages, with adaptations for individual needs. This year we are learning and having fun with a new series of materials, Bible Story Basics.
